Yikes. Capcom is throwing every possible threat at poor Chris Redfield in this chunk of gameplay from the RE6 demo. It almost as if the dev team watched a bunch of action and disaster flicks, played some recent Call of Duty games to brush up on non-stop pacing and whipped up a game that based on this slice, looks to be the most action-packed RE game in the franchise. Hey, as long as the story's good and the game doesn't force a co-op mode down our throats, I'm all in.The demo goes live on the 360 next month, and if this footage is any indication, I predict a server crush for a few hours that keeps Xbox Live hopping (and some griping) until the demand drops off. Don't forget to BUY a copy of Dragon's Dogma, folks - the game is fantastic AND allows access to the demo on July 3 (you'll be playing DD until then, fear not - the game is MASSIVE)...

Resident Evil 6 Captivate 2012 Trailer: Capcom Loves It More When You're Frightened Than When You're Cranky...
As usual there; some absolutely lovely stuff here, but Capcom can't seem to catch a break from some haters who continually knock them for one thing or another. I have to wonder if some of the louder voices out there actually buy any of the games the company publishes given their penchant for threatening boycotts, living in the past and generally being completely unhelpful to any innovations that the series tries for. Granted, not EVERY change the franchise has gone through has been for the better. But I'd rather have Capcom's dev teams go all out and try new things rather than keep shoving the same thing out the door year after year so all the zombies can go through the motions of playing and enjoying the same old thing year in and year out. Say YES to change, ladies and gents - your gaming life will be all the better for it...

Resident Evil 6 Reveal Trailer: Capcom Still Knows How To Do It Right
It wasn't a big surprise at all to me that Capcom was hard at work on a new true Resident Evil sequel, although I was a TINY bit surprised that the game is coming so soon (as in November 20, 2012). I'd have expected more of a build up to the game. Then again, ten months will be plenty of time for Capcom to saturate the internet with news, screens and info about the gameplay and story. Think about it folks - you're getting at least THREE games in the franchise this year (Operation Raccoon City and RE6 on consoles and PC and RE: Revelations on the 3DS) and that's nothing to sneeze at. Even better, all three feature entirely different scenarios and are set across the series' long timeline, which also means there's going to be something for everyone this year. Color me more than pleased with that news...
